As Range Rover enters Grasso’s Garage again this year, it’s time to review their flagship; the Range Rover SE. For a flagship, Range Rover definitely earns top marks for appearance and style as their class is second to none. Historically, in Grasso’s Garage, Range Rover and their fleet of models has always had the nicest looking vehicles and our Range Rover SE is no exception.

Our tester, a Range Rover SE, Long Wheel-base 7-passenger, coming in with a base price of $113K. With all of the British luxury they can pack into an SUV, the Range Rover SE holds nothing back. Its exquisite exterior curvatures are a match for no other as Range Rover delivers royalty to all consumers. Standard for the SE LWB was 21-inch alloy wheels with electronic air suspension and all-wheel drive with Terrain Response, Hill Launch and low traction launch. Powered by an ultra-smooth 3.0L Turbocharged and Supercharged 6-cylinder engine, the Range Rover SE produces 395 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. Matched with the 8-speed automatic transmission, the SE had great power, while still maintaining a very quiet powertrain. A super plush interior would be nothing but expected on the SE model as its leather and cushioned seating were fit for a king and queen.

As the British manufacturer has gained popularity with their excellently designed exteriors, in most recent years the brand has come under fire with mechanical issues plaguing the brand across the footprint. With their production in the UK, getting parts and answers quickly to remedy the problem has always been a concern for consumers. With a heightened warranty package and vehicles in the shop for longer than expected timeframes, the brand has gone back to basics and made things easier for mechanics and consumers to work on them. With this recent improvement, we hope to see more Range Rover, Land Rover and Jaguars back in Grasso’s Garage as their designs are simply flawless and their interiors are second to none.
